Scrapbooking - Kyle

Just a few more scrapbook pages for Kyle's album of his recent birthday and also his present - roller blades.
For the first two page layout, I've used the In-Colours and Treehouse DP. Perfect cardstock and co-ordinating papers for 'boy' pages. I've teamed that up with 'Eat Cake' stamp set and also dressed up the '8' chipboard peice in Cranberry crisp ink and stamped over that again.

The second two page layout uses plain cardstock in Ruby Red and Ballet Blue. The title 'roller blades' is stamped with Tidy Alphabet (my all time fav alphabet). Then I've used the 'Be Happy' stamp set to make the tag embellishment. This is the perfect set for scrapbooking.

When scrapbooking, I always start off by choosing my photo's and combining them with coloured cardstock or patterned paper. Once I've decided on the colours, I design the layout, which usually falls into place quite easily. But that can be one of the hardest elements in scrapbooking; so I will always suggest the SU Idea book & Catalogue. This book is filled with different layouts and it's really easy to pick out a layout that catches your eye, then change the colours and stamp set. You'd be surprised how different it looks and you can call it your own.
Once the layout is in place, I add some embellishments, which I usually keep simple so as not to take away from the photo. Then some journalling to tell the story and your layout is done. Lately, my scrapbook pages have been 8x8 size which is wonderful to work with. Not too big and not too small!! Great for all those special photo's.

Hope you enjoy these layouts as much as I've been creating them. I'm having fun scrapbooking lately, can't get enough of it!! You're obsessed - that's what Warren would say!!!!!
